Eel Fest - A Free Community/Family Friendly Event Celebrating the European Eel and Our Rivers

Discover how amazing the European eel is and how important the Kennet is for eel and many other species of wildlife.

• Eel wanging - how far can you throw our toy eels? 
• Face painting
• Pin the eel on the Sargasso Sea
• Children's obstacle course
• River School - Summer Holidays River School river dipping. Adults and children welcome to take part. Discover the tiny but vital river life and learn all about the amazing life cycle of the European eel. * A responsible adult must stay with children taking part in this activity. Wear wellies or alternative footwear suitable for being in the river.
• Free local apple juice

Wildlife Walks
10.30am - 11.30am Wildlife Walk with Dogs On Leads

12 noon - 1pm Wildlife Walk, No Dogs.Led by award winning natural history author Peter Marren
